We’re a local award-winning family business building quality custom homes for all our valued clients, whether they be single, couples, families, or investors. From inspired new homes to contemporary townhouses, we work closely with our clients to ensure our vision aligns with theirs. We manage all the complexities of dealing with Councils, Building Surveyors and Design Panels to provide our clients with an enjoyable, positive, and hassle-free experience through every step of the journey.

Our People

Andrew Hopper

Andrew Hopper is the driving force behind Live Green Homes. With a background in building and carpentry, he is passionate about improving home liveability and the construction industry’s relationship with the environment. As a carpenter, Andrew founded Hopper Homes in 2002. He joined the Hotondo Homes franchise in 2005 and, together with his business partners, built Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove into a thriving local business before starting Live Green Homes in 2022.

Richard Barton

Richard is one of our experienced New Home Specialists and has over 10 years’ experience working in the building industry. Richard lives locally and enjoys spending time with his family. In his spare time, Richard enjoys camping with family and friends, snowboarding, and surfing the local beaches. He is passionate about sustainable living and helping likeminded homeowners through the journey of designing their perfect home.

Live Green Homes was created in 2022 to support the ever-growing need for environmentally friendly homes in Geelong, the Surf Coast, and the Bellarine Peninsula. Formerly Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove, the Live Green Homes brand remains a local family-owned business, employing a local team and using local trades.

Live Green Homes allowed the team to spread their wings, offering their experience, expertise and quality across more locations than previously possible. Continually striving to improve the construction industry with better standards one house at a time, Live Green Homes delivers homes built to a better liveability standard.

During the Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove era, the team worked with many clients who were keen to improve design and energy efficiency in new homes. Recognizing the need for high-quality, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly custom homes, Live Green Homes was created. We are accredited Passive House Consultants and Tradespeople, supporting the ever-growing need for high-performance and environmentally friendly homes in Geelong, the Surf Coast, and the Bellarine Peninsula regions.
